Art Creation by Kumi

Welcome to my website! I am Kumi Beggs.  I was born in Japan.  I took art into my heart as soon as I was able to hold a crayon.  Throughout my childhood, I developed an appreciation for my majestic surroundings.  I would often sit in trees for hours with pastels and a pad, or sit in a meadow with watercolors and canvas.  Years of artisitc expression made it clear that my life would be centered upon my passion for art.  My art work is influenced greatly by my late art master, Kenji Kawaguchi.  My watercolor landscape painting of Farmington city won first place by Dakota Valley Arts Council in 2004.  I am now a professional artist full-time.  I have been living in MN USA since '94 with my husband and two children.
